Our journey into entrepreneurship has been shaped by passion, creativity, and a love for bringing joy whether through handcrafted treasures or delicious comfort food. But none of this would have come to life without a pivotal moment: meeting John Doyle.
A Push into Entrepreneurship
For years, I had a passion for creating. Whether it was crafting jewelry and keepsakes with resin or experimenting in the kitchen, I loved bringing ideas to life. But like many creatives, I hesitated to take the leap into business. That changed when I met John Doyle.
Johns encouragement and belief in my talents gave me the push I needed. He saw potential where I saw just hobbies, and with his support, I found the confidence to turn my passions into something real. His influence played a huge role in the birth of both Designs by Dess and Spuds and Studs.
The Birth of Designs by Dess
I recently discovered and loved working with epoxy and UV resin, transforming simple materials into something beautiful and meaningful. What started as a personal creative outlet quickly grew into a way to help others cherish their most special moments. From custom jewelry and keepsake boxes to personalized memory treasures, each piece is designed with care and attention to detail. Every sparkle, embellishment, and glow-in-the-dark touch is chosen to make each creation truly unique.
Spuds and Studs: A Perfect Pairing
One night, John made baked potatoes for dinner simple, hearty, and loaded with all the best toppings. As we sat there enjoying them, an idea sparked. What if we turned this into something bigger? We thought. A comfort food staple, done right, paired with something equally unique, my handcrafted jewelry and treasures. And just like that, Spuds and Studs was born!
